Protecting residents, staff and visitors at The Chiswick Nursing Centre

Care homes

The Chiswick Nursing Centre has implemented a programme of rapid COVID-19 testing for its carers, which gives results in as little as half an hour. Staff will also have their temperatures checked. Since the virus can still be transported on skin and clothes, the care home has also installed a Gateway Personal Protection Tunnel at the entrance, alongside these measures.

This added reassurance helps carers work with elderly and vulnerable people and means relatives can start to visit bed-bound loved-ones inside the care home. Take a look at the short reports from BBC News London and ITV News London to see staff walking through the sanitisation tunnel.
